This championship mountain course, which is situated 7,600 feet above sea level, features elevated tees, rugged cliffs, long slim valleys, and great scenery to name just a few of the highlights that make this such a wonderful place to visit. Some of the elevation changes feature drops from tee to fairway measuring up to 150 feet. Hole #10, a 420-yard, par 4, requires a tee shot not more than 225 yards because the fairway concludes at the crest of a steep embankment with the large, well-protected green sitting seventy-five feet below. This course was rated 37th out of the "Top 75 Resort Courses" by "Golf Digest" in 1992. In addition, "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 7th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. The same publication rated it as the 20th "Best in State" for 1995-96, and the 13th best for 1997-98. All three courses were constructed and or remodeled in 2003.
