From Denver

From Denver take HWY 28 South to Colorado Springs, then take HWY 24 West to HWY 24 South, to HWY 50 West (into Gunnison) then take HWY 135 North into Crested Butte.
From Denver you can also travel HWY 70 West to Vail and take HWY 24 South to HWY 50 West (into Gunnison) then take HWY 135 North into Crested Butte.
