The weather is getting warmer outside, the snow is melting, and people are buzzing about kayaking and rafting.
This event is also hosting the USRA Rafting Championships and the LVM Giant Slalom Extreme Kayak Series, both of which PBR is privileged to host. The National Rafting Championships are a culmination of the Western Whitewater Championship Series. Champions will be crowned based on times in the events of slalom, rafter cross (sprint) and a final downriver race.
Lunch Video Magazine is hosting two extreme competitions in search of the Northwest's big gun kayakers. The Giant slalom consists of maneuvering to the right/left of stationary buoys through Upper Otter's Slide rapid on the N. Fork Payette. The downriver extreme race will also be on the N. Fork Payette, from Upper Otter's Slide to Banks, Idaho.
