Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort -
The Steak Pit is Snowbird's oldest restaurant and a long-standing tradition. This award-winning restaurant is tucked away on Level One of the Snowbird Center. If you look closely you might see the local porcupines or a moose hiding between the pine trees. Reservations are recommended The Steak Pit is one of the only Utah steakhouses offering Prime Beef and if the recent feedback is any indication, it's a huge hit. Longtime Steak Pit customers are raving about the top quality beef that is now served in one of Snowbird's most popular restaurants. The Steak Pit Open for dinner nightly throughout the winter and summer. A favorite with locals for over 30 years and not just because of the bottomless bowl of salad served with every entree! Part of the draw here is the longevity of most of the wait staff, some of whom were here at the inception of this fine restaurant. But the other reason is the food! The porcupines know it and so do the locals - The Steak Pit is where it's at for fine steaks and seafood offering only the best prime steaks and fresh seafood. For the hungry visitor we suggest the ever-popular Dry Aged 20 oz. "Bone In" Ribeye or Alaskan King Crab served up with your choice of side from steamed asparagus to a traditional baked russet potato. While you're choosing your sides be sure to add in one of the exquisite meat sauces like the Green Peppercorn or Cabernet Mushroom Sauce. Save room for their renowned Steak Pit Mud Pie, an ice-cream delight that's big enough to share. The Steak Pit is open year round which makes it a perfect mountain respite from the summer heat in the city.
