Snowboard Lessons
Learn how to shred Purgatory Mountain with the help of our professionally trained snowboarding instructors. Whether you're learning for the first time, or trying to master the halfpipe, the Snowboard School staff will help you reach your goals. Purgatory has teamed up with Burton and instructors from around the world to offer the Learn to Ride Program (LTR). This specially designed program uses specific boots, board and bindings (available at Purg-Rentals) combined with our top instructors to guarantee that you'll be riding from the top of the mountain in two days or the next lesson is on us. Package includes rental equipment, beginner lift ticket and full day lesson. First time program participants should request the Burton LTR board, riders who want to perfect their turns should request the Burton cruiser board. Ride Improvement Clinics Once you've mastered the Learn to Ride program take a morning clinic to help bring your skills to the next level. These 2 1/2 hour clinics help you learn to ride in trees, steeps, bumps and the terrain park. Our certified pros will have you enjoying every corner of the mountain! Clinics are offered daily at 10:00 am. This snowboard camp is specifically designed for young snowboarders out there ranging in age from 8-12 years old. Camp classes are available daily with full sessions for children with a minimum height of 42 inches. Shorter and younger riders are encouraged to take a one-on-one lesson tailored to their needs. Equipment is available at Purgatory Ski and Board Rentals. SheRide Snowboard camp Calling all women who want to learn to snowboard, or want to improve their already solid skills on the mountain. SheRide is a special women's only clinic that emphasizes on-mountain skills in a supportive and fun environment. Two sessions (Jan 25-27 & Feb 22-24) include instruction from top-notch instructors, off-mountain training sessions and social gatherings. 3 Days Packed with Riding, Learning and Laughing. Learn to snowboard, or dramatically improve your riding in a fun, safe, confidence-building environment.
