Durango Mountain Resort is known for its legendary learning terrain, whether it's the gentle Columbine Area, the rolling terraced terrain on the front side, or the bumps and steeps in the Legends Area.
Purgatory Mountain is the perfect location to learn how to ski and snowboard, or to improve from your current level.
Learn to Ski & Snowboard - Levels 1 - 2 (Level check) GUARANTEED!
They are committed to converting you and your family into skiers and riders. When you take two Learn To Ski/Ride lessons, they guarantee you will ski/ride a green run from the top of the mountain or the next lesson is on us. Their talented instructors remember what it is like to learn a new activity and strive to make your first time a safe, fun and memorable experience. Package includes rental equipment, Columbine Area beginner lift ticket and full day (4 1/2 hours) lesson. Lesson is from 10am-3:30pm with a break for lunch. Meet in the Village Plaza at 9:45. If you miss the morning lesson, an afternoon class is available from 1:30pm to 4pm. Plan on arriving at least one hour prior to your lesson to rent equipment.
Morning Workshops - Levels 3-8 (Level Check)
Learn to ski & ride better now! These high-energy group lessons will help you move on to a new level of confidence and control. Explore new terrain, improve your technique and maximize your vacation enjoyment with one of their certified instructors. Workshops are 2 � hours in duration and are offered daily at 10:00am. An afternoon (1:30pm.) class is available December 17-31 and February 17 to March 18. Minimum class size is two. A one person workshop converts to a 1 � hour private lesson.
Private Lessons
Buy the best and you'll never be disappointed. Private lessons are simply the best way to work on your skiing or riding. This is one-on-one, with a top instructor personally matched to your specific desires.
