An Abundance of Activities

Known for its fantastic skiing in the winter, Winter Park Resort offers an array of summertime endeavors as well. Only 67 miles from Denver, Winter Park provides visitors with an abundance of activities ranging from outdoor sports to shopping to cultural events.

Trails, Trails, Trails

The area boasts a premier mountain bike resort with 600 miles of interconnected trails, 250 miles of single-track trails and 50miles of lift-accessible trails. Numerous trails are nearby for hiking as well. Or, take off on horseback to explore some of the wagon trails of the Old West.

Located in the East end of the Fraser Valley at 9,000 feet, Winter Park displays picturesque mountain peaks and lush wildflower fields. With several campgrounds in the area, this is an ideal spot to spend some time with nature.

Fly-fishing on the Fraser River is a popular way to pass the time. And white water rafting and kayaking also are available during the summer months. For those who want to stay in town, try a game of golf with a spectacular view.

Entertainment

A stroll through the unique shops and art galleries provides something for everyone. The town really comes to life during its summer cultural events, including the well-known Winter Park Jazz Festival.
