Peek'n Peak resort is only a few miles away and offers year-round recreation. The resort has two distinctive 18-hole golf courses. The Upper Course and the Lower Course offer unique challenges to golfers of all skill levels. Other ski areas in the area include Holiday Valley, Cockaigne, and Swain In summer visitors also can enjoy bicycling and swimming in this picturesque setting. One thing that is in abundant supply in this region is water. From Lake Erie to the Genesee River (and everything in between), there are plenty of water related activites for every member of the family. And that's just for starters! Don't take our word for it though, that's something you'll want to see for yourself! Just to the north, Findley Lake offers swimming, fishing, boating and water-skiing. Chautauqua Lake is only a short drive to the east from Clymer and has great fishing. The lake harbors muskellunge, walleye, bass and several types of panfish, including yellow perch, white perch and bluegill. Muskellunge can be caught in the 40 to 50 inch class. This 17-mile long lake has a surface area of more than 13,000 acres. The region is filled with events in the spring and summer. The Clymer Tulip Festival and the Annual Chautauqua County Fair are only a couple of the exciting events the county has to offer. A variety of dining options are available, including Italian, Mexican and American fare.  |
