The Bruce Trail, just one of many, offers short and long hikes. The trail is a continuous path along the Niagara Escarpment running from Niagara to Tobermory and can be picked up at many places in the area.

This 18-hole course was designed by Tom McBroom. The Duntroon Highlands Golf Club in Duntroon offers an 18-hole course overlooking Georgian Bay. These are just a couple of the courses available in the region.
Several provincial parks are located in the region and offer a variety of recreational opportunities, including camping, hiking and fishing.
Wasaga Beach offers sun and fun for all. It boasts the world's longest freshwater beach. Swimming, boating, canoeing, jet skiing and sunbathing can all be enjoyed here.
History and Entertainment
A number of museums and heritage sites showcase this region's rich history. The Nancy Island Historical Site in Wasaga Beach is one such place. The island was formed over the sunken hull of The Nancy, a private cargo vessel converted into a British supply ship. The ship was sunk during the War of 1812 by the United States' cannons. In 1928, the hull was raised to form this historical site.
A variety of events light up the summer months. The Collingwood Festival For Canada, the Georgian Bay Sailing Regatta and Annual Corvette Beach Cruize are just a sampling of the exciting entertainment this area has to offer.
