The Romance of the Old West

In Park City you can find the romance of the Old West right in the heart of town. Turn-of-the-century character is just 36 miles from Salt Lake City. Victorian homes and the Park City Museum add to the ambiance of the community, which started as a mining town.

Outdoor Fun

In addition to Western nostalgia, Park City features several recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. On- and off-road biking is available, along with lift-served mountain biking and smooth mountain roads with as many ways up and as down.

The Uinta Mountains, with their quiet, quaint paths hovering above town, offer paradise within steps of Main Street.

Horseback riding can be done by the hour or over several days, with beautiful alpine scenery as a backdrop. Two scenic high-mountain golf championship courses are in town.

If you're fond of our feathered friends, many species, ranging from shorebirds and waterfowl to bald eagles and red-tailed hawks, can be seen in the area. In Park City, visitors can find world-class fly-fishing streams or high-mountain lakes and reservoirs for hooking trout, walleye, perch and large-mouth bass.

Just outside town, you'll think you're in heaven when you see the Jordanelle and Echo reservoirs beneath the mountain peaks. If you like water sports water-skiing, sailing, kayaking and windsurfing are all part of the many opportunities for adventure.

Arts and Entertainment

In town, shopping is available at any of a number of charming, one of a kind designer boutiques. You can also find handcrafted furniture and sportswear. Factory stores are also located in Park City. And with more than 90 restaurants, a variety of quality dining can be found with choices ranging from North Italian or Szechwan cuisine to burgers and brews.

Park City's fabulous array of arts and culture features Western sculptors, wildlife photographers and musicians, who all contribute to the vibrant art galleries, music and entertainment.

World Class Skiing

Park City is great in all seasons but this place really comes to life when the snow starts to fall. Home to three world famous ski areas, Park City is the homebase to the The Canyons, Park City Mountain Resort, and Deer Valley. Known as having the world's best powder, the skiing and boarding here is second to none.
